So, where do we go from here – as a church and as individuals? How do we prepare for more?
We’re all busy – many of us on overload. Yet we all want to keep moving toward Christ. To make sense of our lives. To prioritize. To simplify. To focus on what’s important.
Our goal for the next year is to help each other prepare for what God has in store for us. We want to raise the bar – for ourselves and for those walking alongside us. By making a lifestyle shift, we can make a positive change in the direction and the substance of our lives. Here are five points of focus to start making that happen:
Praying: For the building, for the city, for our ministry efforts, for 1%. God has given us a bit of the vision of why Chicago, why the city and why this building. We need to be in prayer, seeking His wisdom in everything Park is called to.
Volunteering: Millions of hours of service – internally and externally through our partner ministries. God has mercifully invited us into His plan, and we all have gifts and a role to play.
Connecting: Participating in a small group. God calls us into fellowship and community for the purpose of growing us and refining us. We want everyone who calls Park their home church to be in a small group, where they are known and can know others, where they can grow in Christ.
Including: Cultivating relationships with our “Circle of 3” and inviting them to Park.
Giving: Reflecting on how we are stewarding our financial resources.
